Services

The Hobart Fire Department is a full time, professional Fire & Emergency Medical provider that serves a population of nearly 30,000 over an area of 27 square miles in the Northwest corner of Indiana. We proudly serve the people of Hobart with both fire protection and Advanced Life Support ambulance services. Included in our response district are residential and light industrial areas, along with a large shopping mall corridor. We also provide protection for travelers on the busy Interstate 65 and US Route 30.

Staff

The department has 57 firefighters, 19 a shift, staffing 3 firehouses located across the city, providing Fire & EMS protection to our citizens and visitors. 

As members of the Hobart Fire Department, we dedicate our efforts to provide for the safety and welfare of the public through preservation of life, property and the environment.
