Golf cart and recreational vehicle inspections and registrations start June 19 from 8AM - 4PM, and will continue to take place only on Saturdays and Sundays from 8AM - 4PM in or around the front of the Police Department or in the Maria Reiner parking lot, located at 705 East 4th Street (no inspections on July 4th).
The fee is $25.00 and cash will be the only form of payment accepted at this time.
Upon inspection, the resident needs to make sure the application is complete, they have a valid Driver's license and proof of insurance.
The golf cart/ recreational vehicle will need to be inspected first by a Police Officer in order to establish compliance with the ordinance 70.40-70.48. Tentatively, after the golf cart/ recreational vehicle is inspected and the application is signed by the Officer, the resident can go to the front lobby at the Hobart Police Department and pay the $25.00 fee to the Clerk.
