The Hobart Police Department is now accepting applications for the position of full-time police officers and reserve officers. Eligible candidates must be in good physical condition, a high school graduate, and at least 21 years of age but less than 40 years of age at time of appointment. Requirements:

Must be at least 20 years old to apply and 21 years of age on date of appointment

Under the age of 40 unless currently enrolled in Indiana 1977 PERF
High school diploma
No felony or Domestic Violence convictions
Valid Driver’s License


Benefits:

Starting salary $55,000

Salary after 1 year for general applicants $68,725

Salary after FTO for Lateral Applicants $$68,725
